We live in a country created upon the noblest of ideals - life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. Yet we find ourselves here, at a crossroads in history during which the rights we were taught of as children may well become history. There are those who threaten the freedoms we take for granted. Every day we hear of another right slipping past us into the dark. We must protect ourselves, we must protect our children, we must protect our liberty. We must stand up and voice our opinions before it is too late.

This is a community dedicated to the pursuit of personal freedom and the preservation of liberty. This community exists to form a network of concerned and informed citizens. Please post any and all news you hear that you believe threatens your rights as citizen of this country. Tell us of any sites, petitions, letter campaigns, etc. that exist to stop said threat. All persons are welcome here. There are but three rules:

- Be courteous and polite to others. This is not a forum for hatred - nothing is gained by fighting one another.
- Please stay on topic. Off topic posts will be deleted. Advertising for other sites, organizations, and communities is welcome so long as they are of appropriate content. Multiple instances of this will result in banning.
- Cite your sources. We need facts to be informed - not rumours. In any and all cases where it is possible - please post links to sites.

"Of all tyrannies, a tyranny exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It may be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end, for they do so with the approval of their own conscience." - C. S. Lewis

"It is not the fact of liberty but the way in which liberty is exercised that ultimately determines whether liberty itself survives." - Dorothy Thompson
